Over the last few months I’ve been nominated for a few more Liebster Awards. YAY! Thanks friends! Its such a nice, albeit strange, feeling knowing that people actually read my ramblings. Instead of writing individual blogs for all of them, I’m going to take two or three bloggers who have nominated me at a time, take their most asked questions and answer them for you 🙂 So for Liebster Award 2, 3 & 4 I’d like to thank Dakota, Chloe and The Styletterie. For those of you not in the know, the Liebster Award is a way to show appreciation for blogs that you think should get more recognition. It’s a great way to discover new blogs and gives you a fun insight into the people behind the blogs. To see my first Liebster Award click here, otherwise read on to find out a little more about me as I answer the questions Dakota, Chloe and The Styletterie asked 🙂
11 Questions & Answers
Favourite Disney Movie and Heroine?
I am Disney Princess. If I could randomly break into song and dance at regular intervals (and for it not to be creepy), I most certainly would! My favourite Disney movie of all time is the Little Mermaid, followed very closely by Cinderella. Although Frozen has stolen my heart as of late, so I guess that Anna is my Disney heroine of the moment. You go girl for not marrying the Prince 😛
What is a beauty item in your collection you could not live without?
Benefit’s They’re Real mascara. Even if I have no other makeup on, I will put on mascara so I don’t look like a zombie.
Any big and exciting plans in the near future?
I am constantly planning for the future. Hopefully this week I’ll find out if I can continue with one
What is your favourite song at the moment?
Be Okay – Oh Honey! It’s such a positive song, and never fails to make me happy 🙂 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=15pMHi9h8rI
What is your favourite food in the WHOLE world?
Mango. Is that really boring?
What’s the best fancy dress costume you’ve ever done?
I’ve only ever dressed in fancy dress twice. I haven’t even dressed up for Halloween since I was a kid. Once was for a work Christmas party a few years ago. I had no time to get a costume, so I decided I would put on HUGE fake eyelashes, curl my hair, put a bow in my hair and call myself a doll!
The second time was February 2013 at my cousin’s 30th birthday. The theme was Around the World in 80 Days Meets Back to the Future. I’m not entirely sure what I went as, but I felt like I had stepped into a different world. Will someone invite me to a fancy dress party again please so I can make a proper effort?!
If you could play any instrument perfectly, which would you choose?
The piano. And I’m taking the steps (extremely slow steps) to make this happen. I can play by ear, but I’d like to do my grades and I’ve been in talks with a colleague of mine recently who might like to teach me 🙂
Do you speak any other languages?
Irish, French and I’m learning Dutch at the moment.
What are you most proud of?
I am most proud of earning my undergraduate AND masters degree while working full-time and supporting myself. It was a long hard road, but I did it.
Place you’d most like to visit?
Copenhagen is next on my list. I’ve had a fascinating with Hans Christian Andersen and the Little Mermaid since I was a teeny tiny child.
Coke or Pepsi?
Neither. The only carbonated drink I like is sparkling water! I used to have diet coke running through my veins from the age of 14 – 20. As you can probably tell, I was the healthiest of teenagers!!
I’d like to nominate the following amazing bloggers for a Liebster award.
Sophie – She’s blonde and lives & studies in the Netherlands – she is literally me a couple of months ago!! But seriously, her blog is a mix of everything I like – beauty related coupled with doses of daily Dutch life. Love love love her 🙂
Bonnie – Bonnie is currently documenting her 100 Happy Days and, unlike me, actually updates daily! Her posts never fail to make me smile.
B – Another lady living in the Netherlands who is adjusting to her new surroundings and immersing herself in the Dutch culture. She’s hilarious too!
She Dreams In French – She lives in France, works as an au pair and is learning the language as she goes. I find her blog not only entertaining, but also inspirational.
Natalie & Morgan – I’ve only recently discovered these crazy girls, but I instantly fell in love with their blog. They are getting ready for their big European adventure and they are super excited about it. And so they should be. I can’t wait until they finally hop on that plane and I get to see all the countries I have been to through their eyes!
