I haven’t slept more than 4 hours a night in about a week. I know I’ve said it before, but this semester is ridiculously intense. The workload is never-ending. I’ve been spending 12 hours a day in the library and not seeing or doing anything extraordinary. I haven’t even been to Starbucks in the last few days!! As a result, yesterday and today’s posts aren’t exactly the most enthralling – posting daily is difficult when time and inspiration don’t collaborate!! The long hours of work and no sleep for days paid off though. We presented to FloraHolland this morning as business consultants and our idea came second place! Our prize? A branded leather folder and memory key; first place got a golf umbrella. Not really what you would expect from a company who’s number one focus is flowers, but hey, free stuff!
When we got back to Utrecht, half the class descended on The Basket, a bar/restaurant at De Uithof. We were absolutely ravenous and after all the energy we put into our projects over the last week, it just felt right to celebrate. I opted for a sparkling water because I’m wild like that – I’m saving myself for the end of Thesis Week! The taste of Christmas continued with a mouthwatering toasted goats cheese, honey & walnut sandwich. ‘Twas only delish!
I’m not even going to try to find the energy to finish this post in an eloquent manner. The sad reality is that it has literally taken me 4 hours to write! I’ve managed to stay awake this long…8.30 is a perfectly acceptable time to go to bed right?
