Week 3: Busy, Busy, Busy!

While the rest of the world was glued to Paris Fashion Week, I’ve been caught in a less than haute couture bubble of presentations, thesis prep and TEFL modules! Il va sans dire that my week has not been the most exciting. Hello real world! I’ve been liberally feeding my tea and chocolate addiction while watching Downton Abbey – ma nouvelle obsession, en anglais bien sûr, pas françaisComme on l’imagine, it’s just not the same in French!

Fun Fact: Christmas is still in full swing in Paris or at least at the Aquarium. Mon coloc and I discovered  a Santa shark, christmas trees and fairy lights twinkling on yesterday’s morning stroll around Trocadéro! We were going to try the Eiffel Tower challenge again, but decided against it as the view wouldn’t be great with the fog. We’ll climb it eventually, j’espère!

There’s yet another demonstration taking place today – the French really like their manifestations! This time it’s a pro-marriage for all/equality demonstration. Alors si vous êtes à Paris aujourd’hui, mettez vos chaussures de marche et allez manifester pour l’égalité des droits!! Moi, I’m not leaving the apartment today – I’m taking Lazy Sundays to a whole other level!

On a separate note, I’m thrilled with the overwhelming response to my blog – over 1000 views is a little insane!! Next week is going to be a busy but very exciting one so stay tuned.

À bientôt,

Charlene
